MINERAL MAKEUP
if you know me, you know that i've been *crunchy* and have been interested in natural products for YEARS. i remember when i dumped all of my toxic makeup and personal care products after college and replaced everything with natural versions. but through lots of trial and error, finding products with natural ingredients that actually perform well is hard.
in recent years, i was almost exclusively using the savvy minerals makeup line from the essential oil company that i used to sell. i truly loved their products - they were all natural, mineral-based, and did actually work! just before that partnership came to an end, they announced that they were discontinuing their makeup line. i was super bummed.
i obviously had to find replacements, and crunchi came to mind because i had seen jordan dooley share it a few times on instagram. i know there are several other natural makeup lines out there, but one of the most popular one's catalog honestly overwhelmed me and their branding/aesthetic just didn't jump out at me.
so i tried crunchi and let's just say i was impressed as soon as i tried the foundation.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT CRUNCHI -
- simple product line - i get overwhelmed with huge product catalogs and a million different serums. i liked that there was just one foundation, one mascara, etc.
- pretty packaging - let’s be honest, aesthetics is a factor! i liked the clean, minimal, black and white packaging. neutrals always.
- natural ingredients - toxin-free, non-GMO, vegan, cruelty-free, made in the USA, no parabens, no talc, no mineral oil, no fragrance, no essential oils!
- WORKS WELL - mineral makeup that doesn’t blend well or slide right off is hard to find. this stuff holds up even in humid summer weather!

the best mineral foundation that is even better than my previous one - lightweight, blendable, buildable, and lasting semi-matte coverage. it even holds up in humid weather!
2) MY ABILI CONCEALER
a creamy pot concealer for under your eyes that doesn’t cake and that can be used as an eyeshadow primer. it now comes in a liquid form that works really well, too!
3) CHEEKMATE LIQUID BLUSH
the tiniest drop goes a LONG way for a pretty flush! i like how light and blendable it is compared to powder, which feels drying on my skin. guava is the perfect color for me for spring/summer!
4) SOLARISE BRONZER
a classic, blendable bronzer with two shades - one for a sunkissed glow for summer and one with less shimmer for contouring in cooler months.
5) EVERLUXE LIP CRAYON
lip crayons are my favorite lip product because the texture feels the most natural to me and lasts a long time. i like the shades that are like my lip color but better, like rosewood and love letter.
SHADE MATCHING TIPS
i know ordering makeup online is tricky - so my best tip is to use the shade matching chart below (or ask me to help!) then order one shade lighter or darker than what you think your shade is. that way if it's slightly off, you can customize your shade by blending them together! i also change shades from summer to winter so i need a lighter and darker version of each product. here's what i wear!

NATURAL SKINCARE
this past year, i moved away from using products with essential oils and simplified my skincare routine to back to basics. i realized we don't need all of these fancy, over-priced, and marketed skincare products to have beautiful skin - a cleanser and moisturizer is all i focus on. (in addition to a nutrient-dense diet, but that's a topic for another post)
my current routine is removing makeup wtih coconut oil, double cleansing with crunchi's cleansing bar, spritzing with a hydrosol, then applying jojoba oil and/or beef tallow as moisturizer. that's it!
